Project Type: Residential Building (G+3)
Location: Kathmandu Valley, Nepal
Built-up Area: 6,800 sq.ft
Year: 2024
Project Description:
This urban residential project was designed to respond to the dense neighborhood context of the Kathmandu Valley while maintaining privacy, natural light, and ventilation. The primary challenge was to maximize usable space within limited plot constraints without compromising comfort.
The building massing was carefully articulated through setbacks, balconies, and vertical elements to reduce visual bulk and improve airflow. Internal planning prioritizes clear circulation, flexible room layouts, and efficient service cores. The façade design combines textured finishes with modern materials to achieve a balanced and timeless appearance.
Key Design Features:
-
Context-sensitive massing and façade articulation
-
Optimized daylight and cross ventilation
-
Functional floor planning with minimal circulation loss
-
Durable materials suited to urban conditions
